About : About Me

Jacqueline Phung, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Therapy can be a journey towards deeper understanding and greater self-acceptance.  I am here to walk alongside you through that process -  creating a safe place where you can  explore all of who you are, access your true self, and show up more authentically in your life.

In our work together, I invite curiosity and openness.  I can support you in examining the patterns that feel familiar, but from fresh perspectives and new angles.  This approach shapes how I work with individual therapy and couples counseling alike.

If you are seeking individual therapy, our sessions offer you a chance to understand yourself more fully - to recognize what drives your choices, what holds you back, and what you're truly capable of becoming.  If you're seeking couples therapy or relationship counseling, our work can help and your loved one reconnect, communicate with greater clarity and compassion, and build the intimacy and understanding you both deserve.

My therapy practice draws from multiple evidence-based psychological approaches, which allows me to tailor counseling to your unique needs.  I stay flexible, attuned, and responsive as you and your relationship grows, adjusting our direction to reflect where you are at any given moment.

I  received advanced training in a number of therapeutic models - including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and IFIO for relationships, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, and mindfulness

practices - and I weave these approaches into our sessions based on what serves you best.

Common reasons people seek therapy with me or mental health counseling include depression treatment, anxiety therapy, family/relational counseling, relationship distress or injury, trauma therapy, and racially and culturally sensitive support.  Whatever brings you here, I am committed to meeting you with both clinical skill and genuine care.

My practice is built on inclusivity and cultural humility.  I honor the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences my clients bring to therapy, and I remain open to learning from you as we work together.
